Description
There are coffees that wake you up.
And there are coffees that unfold.
VELVET feels like summer sunlight resting on your skin. Juicy red apple and ripe grapefruit open the cup with brightness and clarity, vibrant and alive. The acidity is fresh yet rounded, expressive but never sharp. It lingers like the memory of something warm and unforgettable.
As the cup settles, sweet milk chocolate emerges in the finish, wrapping the fruit in a smooth, silky texture. This is where the name reveals itself. The profile is soft, layered and gently enveloping, like velvet against the palate. Structured, but never heavy. Bright, yet harmonised.
This lot comes from Finca El Naranjo, founded in 1915. The farm operates under a matriarchal model and is owned by two sisters, Amada and María Aída Milla. The work is shared among family members, preserving both tradition and quality.
Their cherries are sold to Cuatro M, led by Emilio López, who also produces the well known La Cumbre.
VELVET is fruit forward, polished and elegant. A coffee that does not rush, but wraps around you and stays.
