Honduras Naginza — Bejarano Family
The Bejarano family cultivates their 6-hectare farm at 1,900 masl, producing Catuai, Lempira, and IHCAFE 90 varieties. With 15 years of ownership spanning three generations, the family currently counts six active members and produces around 287 bags (69 kg each) annually. Their farm is managed under an agroforestry system, with 60% shade cover and natural living barriers that preserve biodiversity.
Heritage and Region
This group of producers represents the third generation of coffee growers in La Paz Department. Their farms lie in the Opalaca mountain range, averaging about eight hectares each. The families’ traditional methods and dedication add significant value to their coffee, reflected in its consistently high quality.
Sustainability and Certification
All producers are certified Fair Trade, Organic, and Rainforest Alliance. Every harvest is carried out with strict ecological practices, ensuring that each cup not only offers exceptional flavor but also supports sustainable farming and environmental preservation.
